TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1 POLICY INFORMATION

1.1 WILD ROCK LTD T/A Far Peak Camping, Northleach, Gloucestershire GL54 3AP

1.2 This policy is available on our website and available at time of booking. If you have any queries about the policy, please contact us.

1.3 This policy may be updated and/or amended at any time by Far Peak Campsite. The most recent edition will be on display on our website.

2 YOUR BOOKING

2.1 Weekend bookings must be a minimum of 2 nights, or 3 nights for Bank Holidays.

2.2 Maximum stay is 21 nights.

2.3 A 50% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking, to confirm and reserve your holiday. 

2.4 Your remaining balance is due 7 days before arrival. It is your responsibility to make payment for the balance of your holiday and if you wish to pay on arrival, this must be discussed with the campsite team prior to arrival. You will be sent a reminder by email. 

2.5 Bookings within 28 days of arrival will require full payment. Please call 01285 700370 to make payment.


2.6 Group bookings are accepted at the discretion of the manger. All members of the group must arrive on the same day. If one person books all the required pitches, they will be responsible for paying the deposit and the remaining balance in one lump sum on arrival. We are not able to accept bookings from unaccompanied persons under the age of 18. Groups or parties who do not adhere to the site etiquette will be asked to leave without a refund.


2.6 Cancellations, Refunds and amendments

2.6.1 No refund will be given if cancellation is made 28 days* or less from when your holiday commences. The booking will be lost. You will still be liable to pay the remaining balance.  PLEASE NOTE: Remaining balances will be taken from the account you paid the deposit with through our secure online payment gateway Stripe Payments.  We do not hold any personal account details and any disputes must be through Stripe Payments.

2.6.2 Cancellations made before 28 days* from when your holiday commences will result in loss of deposit

2.6.3 We suggest taking out your own Travel Insurance. 

2.6.4 No refund can be made if you leave prior to your departure date. 

2.6.5 In the circumstance where we advise that the booking is cancelled, an alternative stay or a refund will be offered. 

2.6.6 All decisions on the suitability of the site for use will be made by our Camping management Team. Any customer concerns regarding site conditions must be discussed with management at the time of visit. 

2.7 A responsible adult (18 years or over) must accompany and supervise children at all times (in the camping Site and climbing/activity area). Bookings cannot be made by persons under 18 years. 

2.8 Pitches and accommodation check in and check out times are found on your confirmation. 

2.9 Selecting a pitch is a free, additional extra and we will do what we can to honour this. However, this is not guaranteed, and Far Peak Camping reserves the right to change pitch/accommodation allocation at any time. We will accommodate any requests to the best of our ability. 

2.10 Far Peak Camping accepts bookings on the understanding that you provide correct information at the time of booking. If information is deemed incorrect when you arrive on site, Far Peak Camping reserves the right to refuse the booking if it cannot be accommodated. If the booking can be accommodated, we reserve the right to charge for any additional costs. 

2.11 When you are placing your booking, we ask you to provide: - 

2.11.1 The name of the person who will be identified by us as the ‘group leader’ and who will be our point of contact for your party during the stay 

2.11.2 An expected arrival time so we can plan for your visit. Check-ins must take place before 8pm. It is your responsibility to get in contact with Far Peak Camping if you expect to arrive after this time. 

2.11.3 Any requirements for disabled guests so that we can discuss these with you prior to your stay to check for availability and that the site can meet both your needs and expectations 

2.11.4 Any other information that you think we will need to take into account in your booking

2.11.5 The number of adults, children and dogs staying on the pitch/accommodation 

2.11.6 The type of unit you will be bringing (use the comments box to inform us of type of unit) (for pitch use only) 

2.11.7 Any amendments to your booking must be made before 28 days prior to your stay (please call 01285 700 370 or email [email protected] . A charge of £5 will be payable for amendments made to your booking. All amendments are made at the discretion of Far Peak Camping. We may refuse to amend a booking if the value after the amendment is less than the cost of the original booking and/or we cannot accommodate the request.

3 YOUR HOLIDAY 

3.1 Please do not leave your unit/accommodation unoccupied overnight during your stay without first informing a member of the holiday site team and leaving your contact details. 

3.2 Please ask for assistance or notify our Camping Team immediately when calling out the emergency services.

3.4 Smoking is not permitted in any of our accommodation, or inside any of the buildings, If we find you have been smoking within the listed areas a cleaning fee of £50.00 will be charged. 

3.5 Far Peak Camping reserve the right to pursue any costs caused by damage by you or your party during your stay. 

3.6 Furniture in Glamping pods is not to be moved. If you do not comply and any furniture or flooring is damaged, Far Peak Camping will charge you a fee.

4 THE WELCOME AND CHECK IN 

4.1 Pitches/accommodation are available from 2pm. If you do not arrive by 8pm or do not inform us of any changes, we will cancel the booking and you will be liable for the remaining balance.

4.2 On arrival, customers should check-in at The Far Peak Camping reception, unless arriving after 8pm in which instance, please contact us on 01285 700370 and ring the doorbell on the side of reception. You must check in before pitching.

4.3 Please familiarise yourself with the site's fire regulations, firefighting equipment location and emergency procedures as soon as you arrive on site. 

5 PITCHING 

5.1 One vehicle is permitted per pitch/accommodation – any additional cars/vehicles are charge at £10 for the duration of your stay. 

5.2 Please note that campers wishing to use ‘The Glade’ (including guests using the Glamping domes, Shepherds Huts and Tipi’s) are not permitted to drive their vehicles in this area and will have to park in the designated parking area. Trolleys and wheelbarrows will be available to help ferry equipment down to the pitch.

5.3 Vehicles must be parked fully within the confines of your pitch (with the exception of the glade) and where the Camping Team have advised, they must not obstruct the adjoining vehicle access. 

5.4 Due to fire regulations, only one caravan/motorhome/tent is permitted per pitch. Pitch price includes two adults (or 1 adult, 1 child). There are extra charges for additional children 3yrs – 17yrs, awnings, gazebos, dogs, extra adults and cars. 

5.5 All units including gazebos must fit within the confines of your pitch and adhere to the required spacing and fire regulations. If this cannot be achieved, you may need to purchase an additional pitch (if available). 

5.6 Toilet tents may only be erected within the confines of your pitch. 

5.7 All loose equipment needs to be stored within the confines of your unit. 

5.8 You must ensure the mains electrical cable from the hook up point to your unit and the unit's installation are safe. All units should be protected by a residual current device (RCD). For tent campers, this should be incorporated into a purpose-made mains supply unit designed for tent camping conditions. 

5.9 The use of generators is not permitted on site. Cutting or damaging trees and other vegetation is strictly prohibited and the natural conditions are not to be disturbed. This includes tying ropes to, or driving nails into trees.

6 Fire Safety 

6.1 Guests are permitted to hire out a fire pit from Far Peak reception or bring your own. They must be raised up and not cause any damage to the grass. However, fireworks or Chinese lanterns are not permitted at any time. 

6.2 Free standing barbeques are permitted. They must be purpose built and portable, standing clear of the ground. There must be no possibility of damage to the ground. Only gas or charcoal barbeques should be used. 

6.3 Charcoal barbeques should not be used for burning wood or rubbish, you will be asked to extinguish, should this be the case.

7 PETS

7.1 If you bring a dog, this remains your responsibility at all times and not left unattended. Dogs are not allowed in the climbing centre, café, yurt or bar rooms, You must clean up after your dog, otherwise you will asked to leave immediately. You must also keep your dog on a lead at all times. Please respect that some people and animals are not as keen on dogs as you are. Dogs are permitted in all of our glamping accommodation, however we politely ask they are kept of the beds in the Glamping domes.

7.2 Keep your dog safe – please ensure your dog is not left alone on the site for any length of time. This will remove the risk of your dog becoming anxious, barking, whining or being affected by changing temperatures and weather conditions. We will contact the RSPCA and seek permission to force entry into your car, tent or caravan if we have any concerns about the welfare of an unattended animal. 

8 RECREATION

8.1 Ball games, frisbee, cricket are permitted but please ask that you remain respectful of other campers units. If your game interferes with the enjoyment of others, we will ask you to stop. For safety reasons the flying of kites, model aircraft and drones is prohibited. 

8.2 Parents/Guardians will be responsible for their children at all times, including the climbing centre, low ropes course and all amenities and when cycling around the park. Young children must be accompanied to the toilet/shower facilities at all times. Children must not play in or around the toilet/shower facilities. 

8.4 An evening curfew is in place for the respect of all guests and residents on site. We ask that all music and loud activities are ceased by 11pm and that guests with children respect that those without or with younger children by keeping them under control. If a warden is required to intervene, you will be given a single verbal warning before being asked to leave the site immediately without a refund. Any verbal and/or physical abuse to staff or guests will result in immediate expulsion from the site. Belongings and vehicles can be collected at a later date, through prior arrangement with the management and landlord.

Vehicles

9.1 Vehicle movement on site is discouraged between 11pm and 7am. 

9.2 Vehicle drivers, motorcyclists and cyclists are required to adhere to the site's 5 mph speed limit and follow any directional systems in place. 

9.3 All cycles should have appropriate lighting if used at a time when it should be required. 

9.4 Drivers of vehicles, including motorcycles, must hold a full and current driving licence. 

10 WASTE MANAGEMENT 

10.1 Servicing chemical toilets must only be done at the chemical disposal point, using water from that source. 

10.2 To avoid possible damage to sewerage systems we support the use of bio-degradable chemical fluids that do not affect the natural bacterial balance within the system. 

10.3 Waste and Recycling Points are located on site and should be used appropriately. 

11 POLICY COMPLIANCE 

11.1 We ask all users of our Holiday Site to comply with our policy. If you or your party do not comply with the policy, we may ask you to leave the site. Far Peak Campsite, Northleach, Gloucestershire GL54 3AP.

11.2 Please consider other users of the site and we ask that all members of your party and any guests conduct themselves at all times with due regard to the health and safety of themselves and others. 

11.3 Any verbal and/or physical abuse to staff or guests will result in immediate expulsion from the site. Belongings and vehicles can be collected at a later date, through prior arrangement with the management and landlord.

12 LIABILITY

12.1 Far Peak Campsite will not accept responsibility for any loss or damage to the property of the guest, including, but not limited to personal belongings, cash, jewellery and motor vehicles. 

12.2 Far Peak Camping responsibility and financial liability (excluding any liability for death or personal injury due to negligence) shall be limited to the return of monies received in the event of accommodation, booked in good faith, not being available owing to exceptional weather conditions, flood or fire, or such other cause beyond their control.

13 DATA PROTECTION

13.1 The information taken at time of booking is required to be collected for the purposes of processing your reservation at Far Peak Campsite. We may process your data to keep you informed of our activities and to keep you updated with news, offers and other information that may be of interest to you. If you do not want us to use your information for the marketing purposes described in this paragraph, please let us know.
